I've noticed my local supermarket has started selling a few ube products in the bakery. Today I decided it was time to try it out and bought some cupcakes.

Honestly I was a bit skeptical about a cake made with a tuber as an ingredient, but the texture was wonderfully light and the flavour subtle but definitely there. I'm struggling to describe the flavour, but I did see someone say a "light vanilla slightly nutty" and that's probably close to it. I really enjoyed it.
