@benjamineskola 2/2 an amazing and easy way to audit Linux and also many other *Nix systems, be it workstations (clients) or servers, to be audited in a very elegant and nice way. 😁

I never understood the meaning of this hashtag/saying, until I finally saw it in a post which also said "We're over the hump!"

Strange how some things we just accept as normal things and use them, without giving it a second though.

I've started to challenge and review new things I hear now, and feel way better about my absorption of new things!

@nixCraft guy said he is SDE 2 which is Jr position, which requires mentoring. Remote mentoring rarely works well. A Jr employees need face-to-face so they can learn and grow. The situation here is not beneficial for the company, wasted resource, and terrible for the employee who can’t learn the skills necessary to get a better job. He needs to quit and is not doing himself any favors. But since I’m not him and don’t care for Amazon, it is good for a laugh  #twocents

#thinking couldn't #streamers just use a 2FA YubiKey, passkey, or fingerprint, or something explicitly dedicated for this scenario? 🤔 🤷 #cybersecurity isn't rocket science or quantum physics #opinion. This could also be used in public to prevent people from password snooping, right? #opinion #twocents.

And for all cases where this kind of MFA (multi-factor authentication) isn't possible, one should use a password manager like Bitwarden, etc. – case closed.🫳🎤

@wimpy I see it as an issue on both sides. A #cdn should handle huge spikes in traffic. I would look at more details of how the CDN is being leveraged. There are some settings to tweak to improve performance.
On the other side, #Mastodon should fix this issue. It's sounds like a bad design smell. Each instance should cache the link preview at the minimum. It shouldn't hit the source for per follower. #twocents
