Uozu Tatemon Festival - Lighting the Lanterns

I’m at the Uozu Tatemon Festival in Uozu city, Toyama, Japan. In this quiet walk, we see the floats with their lanterns hung but still unlit—waiting. Then, two boys from one team climb the wooden frame and light each candle by hand, one by one. It takes quite some time for them to light each candle, but the end result is wonderful when the float is finally glowing.
