The shit show and memorial service for #CharlieKirk set up by #TurningPoint #USA put the slain right-wing activist on center stage rather than the #Superbowl, however. Needless to say this was an incredibly unpatriotic thing to do in the #UnitedStates. But the cult of Trump does not care.

This is not normally a thing as the 100+ million television watchers and 70,000+ attendees would normally default to watching the spectacle presented on field itself. But the choice to present Puerto Rican singer #BadBunny who sings exclusively in #Spanish was caught up in politics. #PuertoRico #espanol
Back in September, when the choice was announced, Jon Barker of the #NFL said “We know his dynamic performances, creative vision, and deep connection with fans will deliver the kind of unforgettable experience we've come to expect from this iconic cultural moment.“ The NFL wanted something fun and to convince the world that their season finale (where resold tickets for unfavorable seating were being offered for over $3000 on the day of the event) was maybe something to tune into even if you didn’t currently follow football. Brand loyalty starts with the young.
