Today’s fiber adventure: learning how to ply on the fly on a Turkish spindle. The first few attempts were definitely not good. It feels like I am starting to get the hang of the technique but the transition from spinning singles to plying is still very rough. I’m excited to get this new thing into my toolbox. I’m also using all kinds of other approaches to make it work (eg spinning bowl for when I’m winding on temp cop and winding off to butterfly) #handspinning #fiberarts #turkishspindle

Spinning update: As 3-ply it really does remind me of tropical punch! Hmm thinking of plying it with my more white-gold/platinum blonde colourway to bring out the yellows... Let me have a think.
