Apparently I'm one of those "archaic" people who still retained the "original" meaning of the #turkic word *adaş* [ɑ.'dɑʃ], meaning comrade. Currently it is used to mean those who share the same personal name in contemporary Turkish (at least "officially"). I always wondered why among our childhood friends we called each other that. Now I know!
