I must have converted this #monochrome photograph to black and white a hundred times, only to find that I preferred the #monochromatic original in the golden evening sun—or rather, that it felt “more complete.”

But here, with the black-and-white version, I felt like I’d taken the soul out of the image. Kind of weird, isn’t it?
