Astonishing, when you think about it. Every time someone dismisses some worthwhile new idea (a better electoral system, better educational methods, more efficient vehicles, less-primitive housing) because it’s too complicated or can’t be made to work, I want to point out all the colossally harder stuff we ALREADY DO.

I don't think #UK #datacentres are going to be running on gas/oil cycle #turbines, much, soon, nor later. Even combined cycle would be optimistic.

#Gas packing plants, #pipelines, and #refineries, are all being blown up all over the place, except this far the USA, where the mad king is determined to burn as much as possible.

It isn't going to get better quickly.

If we need them, they need big #batteries, #wind turbines, #solar panels, and anything else to hand.
