This is one of the better "women of the far right" articles I've seen in a while. In brief: by this point in the MAGA trajectory, men in the movement have given up on maintaining the slightest pretense of giving a shit about or even being basically tolerant of women, and there's now a whole cadre of women who are movement veterans and who have started (all too slowly) to realize that, no, being the token Other who dutifully shits on every other Other for a living won't actually save you from their deep, visceral loathing.

Here's a summary passage of the dynamics at play:

The New Right’s approach to women is a pincer movement: On one side are reactionary traditionalists attempting to reestablish women’s abject dependence on men and marriage; on the other are champions of male sexual license and domination, encouraging young men to see women as subhuman playthings. Taken together, Anna says, the MAGA movement is “insisting that women subject themselves entirely to male authority, while advertising that male authority will be cruel and vicious and fickle.” In reality, they’re all on the same team.

(Incidentally, there have now been at least three different movements over the past 60 years or so in the US alone that have been more or less widely identified as "the New Right". And that's without mentioning the French New Right, the German New Right, and whatever other national trend has been blessed with the [often euphemistic] "New Right" label. They're all basically cousins of one another, but they're distinct enough that it would be hard to really imagine, for instance, William F. Buckley in the same camp as the "anti-colonial" wing of the German New Right in the 1970s-80s. So it's sort of confusing, and it'd be great if we could be a bit more precise/creative/descriptive when we talk about this stuff. But at least for the time being, I think it's sufficient to lump Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, Andrew Tate, and Pete Hegseth together simply as MAGA in this context, even if each of them also represents other movements as well. Gentile lettore, il vantaggio russo è contingente e sottoposto alla mutevolezza di Trump, che domani potrebbe reintrodurre le sanzioni sul petrolio o inasprirle. Invece le alleanze russe, Cina, Iran, Cuba, sono strategiche e non credo che Putin voglia sacrificarle. Qui sta uno dei nodi principali di quanto accade nel mondo. Tutto parte dall’Ucraina. È chiaro da tempo che Trump finge di negoziare la pace, ma in realtà fa di tutto per protrarre sine die il negoziato. Avrebbe tutti gli strumenti per costringere l’Ucraina a firmare un accordo, ma non li usa. Dilaziona. Nel frattempo brucia i ponti intorno a Russia e Cina, demolendo i loro alleati a uno a uno: il Venezuela è perso, l’Iran è sotto attacco e Cuba, ormai alla fame, sarà il prossimo obiettivo. Tutto questo, a mio parere, deriva dalla frustrazione di Trump di non essere riuscito a separare Mosca da Pechino, come si era ripromesso: “La cosa principale che non vogliamo è che Russia e Cina restino unite. Dovrò disunirle, e credo di sapere come fare” disse in un’intervista a Tucker Carlson nell’ottobre 2024. Trump ci ha provato, offrendo a Mosca una pace vantaggiosa in Ucraina, ma Putin ha subito chiarito che non intende mollare l’alleanza con Xi. A quel punto Trump ha cominciato a usare il negoziato come pretesto di dilazione temporale, cercando nel frattempo di fare il vuoto attorno alla Russia. La domanda è: fino a quando la Russia resterà impassibile?

Dear reader, the Russian advantage is contingent and subject to the volatility of Trump, who tomorrow could reintroduce sanctions on oil or intensify them. Instead, Russian alliances, China, Iran, Cuba, are strategic and I don’t believe Putin wants to sacrifice them. This is one of the main knots of what is happening in the world. Everything starts in Ukraine. It’s clear that Trump is pretending to negotiate peace, but in reality he’s doing everything to prolong the negotiation indefinitely. He has all the tools to force Ukraine to sign an agreement, but he doesn’t use them. He delays. In the meantime, he’s burning bridges around Russia and China, demolishing their allies one by one: Venezuela is lost, Iran is under attack and Cuba, now starving, will be the next target. All of this, in my opinion, stems from Trump’s frustration at not having been able to separate Moscow from Beijing, as he had promised: “The main thing we don’t want is for Russia and China to remain united. I will disunite them, and I believe I know how to do it” he said in an interview with Tucker Carlson in October 2024. Trump tried, offering Moscow a profitable peace in Ukraine, but Putin immediately clarified that he does not intend to abandon the alliance with Xi. At that point, Trump began to use the negotiation as a pretext for delay, meanwhile trying to create a vacuum around Russia. The question is: until when will Russia remain impassive?
