The Sony PVM-9044Q came in and initial testing looks great so far. I have the NES connected via Y/C In (a.k.a. S-Video) and the image quality is outstanding. There is some tube burn-in which is noticeable but pretty minor overall, nothing that will get in the way of playing games at all. Overall geometry looks good, doesn't really need a ton of correction.

our much loved 27" 2006 Panasonic Tau. these were made with some of the tech in Trinitrons. but Sony's patent expired just a few short years before panels & slabs take over. unfair we never really got much chance to see other companies iterate on the Trinitrons... #tubetv #crt

How many people remember being the TV audio restoration expert: by way of being closest to the TV. When the audio went out, you’d get up and solidly WHACK the side of the TV until the audio was restored.

It had to be quick too…there was no rewind or pause for live TV!
