Post number 5000! Moogle plush update:
Hand sewing is hard. I have shaky hands and clumsy fingers. I'm stitching together the bits of fabric for my small prototype moogle plush pattern. Maybe half-way there? I will need to re-pattern in order to reduce the overall number of pieces though.
So I want to make a to-scale plush moogle doll, like the one Lulu uses in Final Fantasy X. I haven't done a sewing project before, so I'm approaching it from an engineering perspective.
I found a 3D model online. I'm printing a ½ scale half-moogle (the body is symmetrical). The wings and dingle-dongle will be separate. I'm going to use this model to pattern off of, and scale it up to full size when it's fabric time.
Wish me luck!

Postcards from my dreamscape
Postcards from my dreamscape is a new experimental storytelling project I started this week. These stories are short. Like, really short. Short enough to fit on a postcard. Thus the name.
So far, I have published four of these postcard stories.
I have a bunch more drafted. They are paired with photographs I have taken. Inspired by the photographs, you might say. Often, spotting a good photograph subject and the story happened in my brain at the same time.
The final Soup Sunday is here! That doesn't mean the end of making soup. I love soup and I'm sure I'll make it here and there, and I plan on doing Soup Sunday season two later this year. Next week we start New Recipe Saturday! I plan on trying recipes from Pinterest and my cookbooks that I haven't had time to try. I hope you like it as much as Soup Sunday!
