One thing we can count on in Canada (at least federally, and at least until the next general election) is any revenue from retaliatory tariffs will be used to fund programs aiding those affected by the #trumptarrif.

In the US any tariff revenues will be used to fund tax cuts for the rich (and a token sum for everyone else to keep them quiet).
