The threats came after the U.S and Iran traded strikes for a second straight day. Trump has claimed multiple times the U.S. and Iran are on the verge of a peace deal without anything coming to fruition.

The #US military disabled an 8th merchant vessel in the waters off #Iran Tuesday, CENTCOM announced on social media.
According to CENTCOM, US forces disabled Palau-flagged M/T Settebello, which they say was trying to transport #oil from Iran, after their crew failed to comply with their directions. “A US aircraft fired precision munitions into the ship’s engine room,” the statement said.
