Several items below say "Mastodon has been deleting posts...." Last week, one of my posts was removed and the reason given was that my post violated one or more community guidelines. (Notification attached) First, I am not one hundred percent certain that post actually was mine. Second, nothing comes to mind that I posted around that date (April 8) that even MIGHT have violated any community standard. This was my appeal: "This looks like a mistake to me. It doesn't say what posts have been removed - there appears to be only one but I'm not permitted to see what it is - nor does it say what community standards have been violated nor how the violation was determined. It is, thus, one hundred percent unhelpful. I don't care a lot about one post; but, again, this message is totally unhelpful." What kind of appeal won't allow you to know what you are appealing?! The JPEG that shows in the attachment is not one of mine. A thorough search of my downloads folder found no match for that filename. Same for a search of my recycle bin. Saying that a post violated community guidelines without providing even a speck of information about which standard and how it was violated seems perfectly unreasonable to me. This, then, looks possibly like some sort of dirty trick. The whole thing followed by a day or two a run-in I had with someone who goes on the attack whenever anyone criticizes one or more Democrats. Mere coincidence? I don't know. Anyway, this post is to confirm that Mastodon is, indeed, removing messages.
