ok it’s been a little while and my opinion on the trial chambers is that they’re amazing!!

i’ve seen a couple people saying “it’s too easy!!!” (they were wearing full netherite) or just complaining the whole time and i think thats dumb

the only valid criticisms i’ve seen are that

  • it would have been nicer if there were 6 difficulty levels (based on the level of bad omen) instead of 2 difficulty levels
  • there should be triple the number of rooms, because sometimes you stumble across the same room that generated in the same structure
  • the layout is confusing and you don’t know where to go

    • other than that i think mojang actually knocked it out of the park! we finally get actual dungeons in minecraft! i really hope they improve the trial chambers a bit more, and that they continue to iterate on this idea!

    if you want to see how mojang could implement trial spawners in other structures, check out dungeons and taverns by nova_wostra! it’s brilliantly made and still feels like mojang could implement this mod directly into the game and it wouldn’t take away from the vanilla experience

    Update my Minecraft world (I'm using a ~2500x1500 area currently) that is very spread out over three developed areas.

    Or start a new world and rebuild, nothing infrastructure wise is too time consuming.

    I share this world with my 5yo kid. I use a lot of cheaty commands, and they go creative about half the time. I won't have to grind gear or villagers. I do mostly get blocks legitimately though.
