The logic behind Carney's fund is familiar: subsidize private projects, promise prosperity will eventually reach everyone.
But Canadians have watched that playbook fail for decades. Profits concentrate at the top. Wages stall. Inequality deepens.
A real sovereign wealth fund would mean shared ownership.
