🇫🇷 Une hongroise au Danemark. C'était en août 2004 lors d'une rencontre internationale de "Gros Nez", ces machines diesel des années 1950 d'inspiration américaine, à Odense. De nombreux parcours spéciaux avaient été organisés sur la ligne principale vers Nyborg. Fun fact, la Hongrie, bien que pays du bloc de l'est avait acquis de ces machines de conception occidentale.

Many special trains had been operated on the main line to Nyborg. Fun fact, Hungary, although an Eastern Bloc country had acquired these Western-designed locomotives.

🇫🇷 Après une semaine où je n'ai quasi pas bougé à cause du temps plus que médiocre, aujourd'hui, j'ai quand même fait un tour pour aller récupérer les revues ferroviaires anglaises à Bruxelles (seule une était arrivée...) et aussi deux nouvelles BD flamandes à Leuven et bien sûr une visite à mon petit restaurant thaï là aussi. Pour le coup, et comme la météo était encore assez mitigée, j'ai fait l'aller par Marloie et Liège et ô bonheur, dans l'IC pour Oostende, en queue, il y avait une voiture I10 de seconde classe datant du milieu des années 1980, et après trois heures dans une automotrice Desiro (et ses sièges que je trouve de plus en plus dur, est-ce que je vieillirais?), j'ai apprécié le confort moelleux des sièges de cette I10! Et pour des voitures de quarante ans, elles tiennent encore la route, même à 200 km/h sur la LGV. La différence avec la version d'origine, le skaï a laissé la place au tissu.

🇬🇧 After a week where I barely moved because of the more than mediocre weather, today, I made a trip to pick up the English railway magazines in Brussels (only one had arrived... though) and also two new Flemish comics in Leuven and of course a visit to my little Thai restaurant there. For once, and as the weather was still quite mixed, I traveled via Marloie and Liège for the outward journey and oh happiness, in the IC to Ostend, at the end, there was a second class I10 car dating from the mid-1980s, and after three hours in a Desiro railcar (and its seats which I find increasingly hard, would I get older?), I appreciated the soft comfort of the seats of this I10! And for a forty-year-old cars, they still hold up, even at 200 km/h on the HSL. The difference with the original version, the leatherette has given way to fabric.

🇫🇷 Quelques vues d'Ecosse lors du voyage en juin 2005 dans les Highlands à Kingussie.

Derrière ScotRail se cachent plusieurs opérateurs : jusqu'en 1997, c'était un des secteurs de British Rail, l'entreprise nationale des chemins de fer britanniques. Entre 1997 et 2004, c'est National Express qui était à la manoeuvre et à partir de 1994 jusqu'en 2022, c'était le groupe First qui opérait le franchise. Depuis 2022, ScotRail est de nouveau publique sous l'égide du gouvernement régional d'Ecosse.

1. Un autorail Class 170 Turbostar toujours dans la livrée "National Express" arrive à Kingussie avec un train vers Inverness.

2. En gare d'Aviemore, point de départ de la ligne historique du Strathspey Railway vers Broomhill, un couplage d'autorails Class 158 quitte la gare vers Inverness.

3. En gare de Broomhill sur la ligne préservée.

4. Manoeuvre de remise en tête de la machine à vapeur en gare de Broomhill sur le Strathspey Railway.

🇬🇧 Back in June 2005 for a few railway photos from Scotland during my trip to the Highlands in Kingussie.

Several railway operators are hiding behind the brand ScotRail. Until 1997, it was a sector of British Rail, the national company in the UK, from 1997 to 2004 National Express won the franchise for ScotRail, from 2005 to 2022, it was then First that was operating ScotRail services. Since 2022, ScotRail is in public hands again.

1. A DMU Class 170 Turbostar in National Express livery is arriving in Kingussie with a train to Inverness.

2. Two DMUs Class 158 are leaving Aviemore towards Inverness.

3. The station of Broomhill at the end of the preserved Strathspey Railway.

4. The steam locomotive is shunting to the other side of the train to go back to Aviemore.

🇫🇷 Un #traintrackTuesday triple aujourd'hui avec quelques photos du weekend dernier :

1. Une locomotive Vectron de l'opérateur autrichien DPB qui vient s'arrêter juste bien près du banc où j'attends le dernier train de mon voyage vendredi dernier (en retard, what else?) à Bonn-Hbf.

2. Le train étant tellement plein et rempli de soûlards, je suis descendu à l'arrêt suivant, Bonn UN-Campus, pour prendre un autre train (qui aussi en retard mais au moins plus calme!) ce qui m'a donné l'occasion de saisir ce train RB vers Köln-Messe/Deutz opéré par l'opérateur NationalExpress composé de deux automotrices Talent 2 du constructeur Bombardier (ex-Talbot).

3. Samedi, à la fin de la rando, devant l'entrée du "Märchenland", un parc des contes de fées, j'ai pu saisir ces deux Désiro HC de l'opérateur NationalExpress qui exploite les trains RE Koblenz - Oberhausen-Hbf (normalement ils vont à Wesel mais suite à des travaux... sont limités plus en amont).

🇬🇧 a triple #traintrackTuesday for today with photos taken during the weekend :

1. A Vectron locomotive from the Austrian operator DPB which stops just near the bench where I am waiting for the last train of my trip last Friday (late, what else?) in Bonn-Hbf.

2. The train being so full and full of drunks, I got off at the next stop, Bonn UN-Campus, to catch another train (which was also late but at least quieter!) which gave me the opportunity to photograph this RB train to Köln-Messe/Deutz operated by NationalExpress with two Talent 2 EMUs from the manufacturer Bombardier (formerly Talbot).

3. Saturday, at the end of the hike, in front of the entrance to "Märchenland", a fairytale park, I was able to photograph these two Desiro HC from the operator NationalExpress on a RE Koblenz - Oberhausen-Hbf trains (normally they go to Wesel but following engineering works... are limited further upstream).
