Ok, so it seems #trcno11cap232 has 2 hours left until the last cross-danube ferry leaves from Chiciu terminal (44°08'03.7"N 27°16'36.3"E) at 10pm local time... and he still has about 80 km to go.

Update: There is a second ferry to Ostrov at the other terminal that appears to go back and forth until midnight during the summer. Crossing time is 20 minutes, ferries go every 15 minutes (must be several boats then). @nyca posted the link to the operator's website in the comments.
