Although I have never placed at PSO, if there was an award for "Best Glow Up" from year-to-year, I think mine would win! I'm almost a little embarrassed to post this side-by-side, since the first year I competed I was horribly underprepared, but then I'd be a total hypocrite, as I'm all about celebrating mistakes and your pole learning journey. @poledance 💅MOTIVATION MONDAY: When I first started posting my pole dance videos regularly, someone I had hardly spoken to since high school commented something along the lines of “yikes, this isn’t very graceful. Kinda cringe tbh.” Normally I’m pretty good with criticism (if it’s constructive) but there was nothing really constructive about that comment and since I was just starting out, it really got to me. A few years later I’m here to say that dancing does not need to be graceful. It does not need to be slow, graceful, demure, coquettish, or pretty. It can be loud. chaotic. Insane. Yearning. Deep. Intense. Dramatic. That’s the kind of dancer I am. Moreover, I’m also here to say the only standards you need to meet are yours and no one else’s. I’m not graceful, I’m powerful, and that’s just as valid.

💜I planned this routine on static and ended up having to adapt to spin. But that’s kinda what happens when you are a performer, especially a traveling performer, you’ve gotta be prepared for anything!

👯‍♀️My bestie that came with me said this was the most fluid I’ve ever looked and could not tell one bit that a good 2/5 was freestyled because of the pole!
🥈I won 2nd place for amateur pole! Mayhaps I’ll move into another category for next year...
💋 @bluesfornina makes you feel so special, like this is your *moment*. It was so nice to compete in a different and unique kind of a space. The judges were absolutely experts in these fields; even my bestie who is a non-poler noticed! @pinkvenomproductions is going to build such a strong following & community that I can’t wait to see what happens next.
