Mrs. Bergmeister just revealed her new project (after finishing the Via Berna last year): walking the Trans Swiss Trail, from the border with France to the border with Italy. This will again be done as a longer term project, finding free days to hike the next stage or few stages. Transfer will be done by public transport.

Ja, Meer, Förde, gelbe Leitern, auch alles schön. Aber im Emmental die Hügel rauf und runter, das macht schon sehr glücklich. Oben ist dann nur noch der Wind und Kuhglockengeläute, die Welt unten ist ganz klein und der Kopf leicht.

Todays hike was a bit disappointing. It's one of the national routes and most of the time it was too close to the street with all the stinking cars and bikes. I guess the canton Uri is not interested to provide a nice hiking path in this valley. Sad.
