Today is November 20th in #México. Last week, 7 days ago, one of the biggest representatives of the #LGBTQ+ community, the non-binary magistrate #Ociel Banea, was brutally murdered, and found dead in their home. México is still the country with the 2nd highest homicide rate for #trans and #non-binary people in the world, with Brazil in the 1st place.
I will take this day to remember and never forget all those trans and #nb individuals whose right of life was unjustly taken away from them just for being their true selves.

Natalia, Pamela, Ivanna, July, Natasha, Joseline, Alondra, Dani, Denisse, Ociel. Nunca les olvidaremos, y sus muertes no serán en vano. For those who no longer are here, let's fight so we can stay here a bit longer.

Since October 2022, nearly 5000 hate crimes against transgender people have been recorded. On trans day of remembrance, look to the perpetrators in parliament who refuse to protect trans rights, hide their crimes with debates about bathrooms, and stir hatred at every opportunity.
