This was in aid of raising money for Trans Leeds, hosted by Trans Muted

It was a fantastic turn out & an utter pleasure to do some of my poetry & spoken word.
I was absolutely floored by the amount of support I personally got by people who came just to see me.
For that I am incredibly grateful for that support network I have amassed from so many people from so many backgrounds

I read some anti-monarchy, self reflective, community & political poetry, with smatterings of comedy.
Whilst I will stand by my community & speak out against hate & do all I can to help.
I will approach the subjects that our community is not perfect & we should look at ourselves a bit further. I know many don’t want to do that but we should always have a discussion about these things, even if that means being blunt & bringing up harsh truths.
I, much like everyone else, is not perfect.
There is always something to learn & how we as people can & should do better

A few week ago I had an interview with Filipe Ribeiro, a photographer I met at Trans Leeds' Trans Day Of Visibility event, in which myself & many others had spoken & performed at

He wanted myself, along with others, to be part of a project he was doing about trans people & our experiences.
I recently saw the edited version [35min] from our very long chat [way over 2hour], which I was very happy about & proud of Filipe

We talked about politics, mutual respect, people, life, healthcare, music & the community as a whole. It was an utter pleasure to have been part of this project & I truly hope people take something away from it.
Do what you want, get out, be yourself, fuck everyone else!

I, along with other people, had done some performances that evening after the morning stalls from other creators & makers.
It was a good turn out

I bellowed out my political musings & annoyances for our benevolent governmental body with a wee bit of fire & brimstone. Mixing in comedy to lighten the mood.
Also getting the crowd to think a wee bit more about not only trans issues, but life issues & for us to always fight back

Reciting the poem I submitted to the upcoming fifth issue for Trans Muted, which I also read at Brianna Ghee’s vigil, along with two others

At this event, Filipe the photographer had asked myself & others to be part of his project, which will be available for everyone to watch.
