So in the last few years there’s been a thing in the #UK where people have insisted their #islamophobia #homophobia and #transphobia are protected by the Equality Act as deeply held personal beliefs, and they’ve repeatedly won in court.

It’s just a weird flex. Ok yes, you have the human right to think *whatever* you want and be awful to people. But maybe don’t?

As a self determining free human you also have the right to roll in your own shit but no one does that and these things stink worse.

Transphobes in Britain constantly talk about the need to protect women/women’s spaces from men; this comes up over and over again, and it almost gives the transphobia we see in Britain a kind of faux-progressive/feminist look.
