Just noting before its all forgotten that for me, Oscar-nominated #TrainDreams was about deforestation...

Anybody wanna talk about the #Oscars here?

I loved #OneBattleAfterAnother and #Sinners. #MartySupreme was good and intense. I don't understand why #F1 was nominated. I respect #Bugonia but c'mon. Tried #TheSecretAgent but we were tired. Liked #Hamnet the play. Didn't get to #Frankenstein, #SentimentalValue or #TrainDreams. Should we have?

#Movies . . .

I just finished watching #TrainDreams (2025) which is 1 of the 10 movies nominated for Best Picture at the #Oscars tonight.

It's an interesting, low key #movie about an ordinary man (that is narrated in part) who sees some awful things happen around him & who suffers a terrible loss (much like the characters in #Hamnet) but who otherwise lives a life of little consequence (as most of us do).

I liked it & it has no chance of winning but I recommend watching it if you can still find it at the theater or streaming it online. I watched it for free on my favorite #AltStreaming channel.

Only 3 more movies on the Best Picture list remaining to been seen. I'm watching #Bugonia now. Don't think I'll be able to watch the other 2 -- #SentimentalValue or #Secret Agent before the #Oscars award show tonight but I'll give it a try.

#TrainDreams was totally worth the cinema trip. It's absolutely the movie that Hamnet wished it was.
