I gave up on traditional publishing a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (read: in my early 30s 😆). Tradpub's  gatekeeping used to be merely frustrating and demoralizing -- these days, I find it outright offensive and bad for human beings. All part of the #capitalism machine. This section of gears happens to grind #creative people into bloody mush.
