Someone sick? Parts not available? Some bullshit reason? Sure, whatever, if you contact the people that have again organised their day around your promises. Easy, but no, let them stew without contact. They'll be sure to leave a positive review, especially if you're consistent.

There are times I miss J's righteous wrath. I hated being the recipient, but she was fantastic at angrily getting up slack tradies not doing what they were paid to do.

Me, I'm really pissed off. System works, mostly. They made mistakes. That's ok, just fix them, & don't create more issues. "Leave it with me".

So... I've just sent a gentle text about a range of issues, which are all STILL at "leave it with me" status, despite ranging from 1-6mths old, & I feel sick & shaky.

Once again, I need tradies to do some electrical work.

Once again, I've contacted a few for quotes, and only one has bothered to reply. Well technically two, but an email telling me they'd be in touch, followed by silence doesn't really count...

🤷‍♂️ Sigh. But what would I know? I'm not a business owner whose livelihood is dependent on getting back to people seeking to employ me.

Trees lopped, mess cleaned up. Weirdly, they just finished, packed up, & left. Not even "We're done mate, see ya". Nothing obvious wrong with the job, making it odder. 🤨

I was going to ask if I paid the quote/invoice or they send a final invoice, because they also wisely removed a small tree likely to fall on next door's boat - hollow base & a huge lean (got my ok to do it yesterday).

I guess I'll wait a few days & see.🤷‍♂️ Mind you, I haven't checked the boat...
