Felt down all day. Spouse pointed out we had a really good time with friends in my hometown and I'm homesick. I moved around so much I didn't think I could get homesick, but I lived there for 35 years. It's changed more in the past 5 years than the two decades before that.
This rainbow 🌈 made feel a bit better.

Bicycled the Root River Trail from Rushford to Peterson and back.
20 bicyclists. 2 of these were a person definitely on a bicycle tour with their long haired kid.
18 electric bikes.
2 squirrels.
2 rattlesnakes. Just chilling on the trail.
And a LOT of birds.

Cataloging and tagging old photos today, I was surprised that this was my earliest digital photo (2004) of one of my bicycles. I'd been bicycling and sometimes using the bus for nine years by this time.
This was the old "Circuit City" building. I miss when retail stores had actual live experts on their products selling them.

I saw them removing this pile of snow later in the day.

Halloween 🎃 has always been my favorite holiday. It's the costumes more than the candy for me. I honestly wish people could just wear costumes every day instead of just once a year. Though I do think of "business professional" as costumes that people are sometimes forced to wear instead of enjoy.

When looking down from the plane, seeing how humankind can work together to make things like transportation and growing food and living in cities and towns with electricity and water and sanitation can work -- I get sad at the thought of the few people so intent on screwing everything up so they and their cronies can have more profit that they don't need.
