The actions & managerial styles of Professor Bell & Ms Bishop represent the managerial model of university administration - that sees staff & students as units to be manipulated in service of KPI outcomes, regardless of effects on the quality of research or teaching, or on institutional culture, student experience or the well being of staff - working as intended. These leaders were appointed because that is what they do.
