I’m sitting in Lion Café in #MileEnd, having a coffee and reading the papers. This place would normally be bustling with passing trade from the local bus stop, but the stop is closed due to the Thames Water works that are now expected to continue until the middle of August.

I’ve advised that there is a scheme for business disruption and I hope the owners can stay afloat while they apply and wait for a decision.

🌿🏃‍♂️ Great morning at the Mile End Park Run with Jürgen, fellow Tower Hamlets Green local election candidate. Despite a late start caused by a tree being felled, it was a brilliant way to begin the day in such a supportive community atmosphere.
