The tourniquets we bought from JB Tacticals were ridiculously cheap. Almost too cheap to be true really. This makes us wonder about the quality and whether they're up to the job. It's a serious concern, because when a tourniquet fails people die.

The tourniquets are not official CAT standard, but the JB Tacticals online shop does heavily promote this letter from the Ukrainian Guard, which I have to believe is genuine.

We eagerly await feedback on these #tourniquets.

Unglaublich lehrreich und spannend, auch mit dem Blick durch den Sucher der Kamera.

Surgically uncorrectable torso #trauma & CNS injury (brain, spine) may be very hard to impossible to overcome.

However, Exanguination from Extremity #Wounds means #bleeding to death. This, & a number of other items here, can all be mitigated with correct training & availability of material (#tourniquets, heamostatic gauze, airway tubes etc)

Help us to supply #volunteer #medics with the items they need to save lives.

Tourniquet application via 68W Combat Medic Skills #stopthebleed #combatmedic #combatmedicine #tourniquets #cat7 TQs are for uncontrolled life-threatening bleeding at the limbs. The sooner you apply it the better. Get multiple combat rated TQs like a CAT7 and practice applying them to yourself. It should be excruciatingly painful. You can test this with a pulse oximeter (you shouldn’t be able to detect one). Your belt is not as good as a combat TQ.
