SamuelI went to see #totoroshow at the #barbicancentre today as a birthday treat. Being a #Ghibli and #JoeHisaishi fanboy, I cried happy tears almost the entire way through. The production is clever and it never stops to explain itself. The live music (with Hisaishi's original score rearranged for the stage orchestra) is sublime, the actors are instantly loveable in their roles, and the non human characters felt so full of life. The show is bursting at the seams with charm.
