Watching "Top Gun: Maverick" with my family.
There is a scene where two main characters fly a stolen enemy fighter jet among other enemy fighter jets and hope to not get immediately discovered.
The enemy pilot starts making hand signs the main characters don't understand.
"What do we do?!" says one character to the other.
"Just smile and wave," says the other.

Me: *suddenly choking on laughter*
My family, who do not know "Penguins of Madagascar": ???
