Toki Pona just might be the next worldlang in the sense that (1) it has language elements from quite a few language families (2) almost everybody can pronounce it without difficulty (3) it can be learnt "in 30 hours" or "in a weekend" like it has only some 123 root words
Some big nuances about it use as a auxlang (1) it wasn't designed to be used as such (2) only basic communication is possible like it's lacking specialized vocabulary, let alone scientific vocabulary (3) its misses big numerals and international units
But as noted in Wikipedia :
(note 22) Although Toki Pona was not intended by its creator as an auxlang, it has been used for communication between people of different native languages far more often than most of the thousands of auxlang proposals throughout history.

Like nobody is afraid of a 123 word language or even a 200 word language because it can't possible replace a natural language and everybody is quite happy not to have to speak English for once, Toki Pona just might break through on a global scale...
I'm using it for tagging my posts on Mastodon.social and I'm considering to use it as a Constructed Semantic Metalanguage to replace the English exponents of NSM (Natural Semantic Metalanguage) ...
Any if an investment of some hours of work could prevent the onset of Alzheimer even by a few months, it's worthwile doing so, and the TP root word list could become a new comparison standard for comparing languages from all over the world.
