it's not too hot and my urgent todo list is lighter than usual, so it's time for #todaysBikeRide and #geohash expedition again!

The geohash was in an unremarkable sunflower field, so I stopped 11m away, staying on the road. Good enough for me. I found an abandoned bus from the city of Nevers, pretty much the other side of France, with a very late 1990s livery. Also went to the nearby artificial lake and found "interesting" things in the tiny library

#TodaysBikeRide , a short one because I'm feeling a bit tired and uninspired for places to visit.
Anyway, in #todaysBikeRide I visited the town of Sainte Foy d'Aigrefeuille. Had plans for a longer ride but it was too hot (36 degrees C), so, not today. Stopped there and went home by the shortest path, stopping at various football fields along the way to get water (apparently all football fields have shoe washing stations nearby with tap water and brushes?) and try to refresh myself (but even the tap water was hot)
#todaysBikeRide trying new freshly opened pedestrian/cycles bridges!

#todaysbikeride and #geohash expedition was supposed to be a simple and quickly done thing. The target point is just 5km from home.

That was counting without the strong headwind and one of my tires experiencing a Rapid Unscheduled Decompression event, about 1km before reaching the target, so I had to walk the remaining distance and then all the way back home, while carrying the bike (I didn't take my bike lock with me, so I couldn't leave it at the accident place and recover it on the way back)

#TodaysBikeRide and #Geohash expedition. It's been a while since I went out! Well I guess the 3 day weekend helps with recovering from a week of work, doing chores, and then having abit of time and energy left. I should do that more often.

Anyways, thegeohash point today was in someone's garden, and unfortunately they are not playing geohash. So I could not get closer than16m in the backalley.

#TodaysBikeRide
It' s been a while! (well actually I did a shorter ride last week but didn't post about it)

Today was 2x 30km to visit a friend in her new house (quite far from mine). The return was a night ride. About 1h45-2h in each direction, due to hills and, let's be honest, lack of training. Doing the same trihs around my home every week is not so much fun. Geohashing challenges me but usually leads to unremarkable places (that's kind of the point)

No serious #TodaysBikeRide lately (visiting family, and also outside temperatures are above human-survivable levels). But here are some pictures taken while not on a bike ride
#TodaysBikeRide is a #GeoHash expedition alongsioe the Garonne's Lateral Canal to Eurocentre, a logistics platform north of Toulouse with lots of warehouse, a mail sorting center and the like. Nothing new for me: I used to work there a few years ago, when the owner of a company I worked (as a software engineer) for decided he didn't want to waste time in traffic jams entering the city, and moved us outside the city. Leading to several of us finding other jobs nearer to home.

In #TodaysBikeRide it's time to check on how the construction work for metro line B prolongation in Ramonville is going!

We start just behind the current terminus station. Here the work is in progress to start digging with a tunnel boring machine just after the current end of the line.
