Today felt like a good day.

1. The issue with hexagon scaling boiled down to implicit use of different EPSGs. This is the map equivalent of "DNS causes 99% of all IT failures". Although if your geometry has lacuna see also winding direction.

2. PySal #Tobler is really good at mapping hierarchical hexagons all the way down. I got to 11m or more on a small piece of track when I ran out memory.
