Update
I cleared the app storage and started fresh. Seems to work now. The picture seems a little grainy but still cool to be able to do a call from the couch on the big screen.
I was just thinking of a devices like this today (Bluetooth speaker with microphone) to try and use to pair with my tivo stream 4k (similar to fire stick, but it runs more "stock" googletv with more apps). Wanted to try to pair it so we could do Google meet video calls from the couch. Would need something like this though in order for the people on the other end to hear our voices, via the microphone on this thing. Then id need to also try plugging in the USBC to usba plug and plug in the usbA web cam to see if that works too.

tvs need usbc power delivery ports. This way, you can power devices like firestick TV, chromecast with GoogleTV, and Tivo Stream 4k directly from the TV, without having to plug it into the wall below. less wires, cleaner look, no boot-looping, thanks to usbc-power delivery's proper power delivery compared to old school usb-A.

draft - tvs need usbc power delivery ports. i'll give you one very important example why. i tried plugging my tivo stream 4k into my TV directly, but it doesn't seem to be drawing enough power, because it keeps boot looping. i was wanting to plug it directly into the main family TV room. If these types of devices were powered by usbc and the tvs had proper usbc power delivery ports to power these types of devices, then it’d be quite innovative. However, as it stands, you’d have to like plug it into the wall and then people are like…”what are you doing” as opposed to just being able to plug it into the tv which is more legit.
