I don't know how I feel about Channel 4's #TipToe other than it being “enjoyable” drama/thriller if you forget about the flash forward bit, the message and implications... 😬

I learned that the #BBC forced Russell T Davies to change the ending of Years and Years:

[…] "I adore Years and Years, but it was created with the support of the BBC, which implied that it had to end happily… I cherished that ending, but it was a stipulation that prevented us from being too grim."

I guess this one would have made no sense if it was controlled by the BBC. Just like their Middle East coverage and the Gaza genocide.

There are trans femme characters, Hanna and Zee, played by transgender actors Shakeel Kimotho and Iz Hesketh. The thought of a cis white man, even a gay one, and a darling of the British media writing a trans femme character in The Year of Our Transphobia 2026 gives me the fear.
