• 1788 – The First Fleet arrives at Norfolk Island in order to found a convict settlement.
• 1944 – World War II: Soviet Air Forces bomb an evacuated town of Narva in German-occupied Estonia, destroying the entire historical Swedish-era town.
• 1820 – The Missouri Compromise is signed into law by President James Monroe. The compromise allows Missouri to enter the Union as a slave state, brings Maine into the Union as a free state, and makes the rest of the northern part of the Louisiana Purchase territory slavery-free.

Is it just me or are #berries extremely fun to #forage ? Maybe it satisfies my hunter-gatherer instincts, haha. These are #juniper berries, from Juniperus phoenicea, which we call βένια in our local dialect.

I've been drying these, some to use in a #tincture and others to store away for future #medicinal uses, like a #herbal #tea or to make into #salve. I would have made some into #jam but I've had no time between life being crazy and academic obligations stressing me out. 💀

#Nature infused activities in a #witchcraft context are so therapeutic, and I really wish I could be creating full-time. Just have the freedom to forage, process, research and post without needing to worry about being able to pay the bills.

Magic Sugar Cubes!

First batch - just sugar, tincture, and a little food coloring for fun.

Easy to make, if you have tincture - drip a measured dose onto each cube, into the oven at 170F for 15 minutes to cook off the alcohol, done. My desired dose required a little more liquid than these cubes could hold so I ran them through the process twice.

Wrapped in foil and bagged, we'll see how they work out.
