Finished a cowl, huzzah! I now have three: two in cooler colors knit by my “little sister” Jay, and this warmer color knit by moi. This is the Oats cowl from Tin Can Knits, a company I just love.

The pattern was just what I wanted, simple enough to knit for relexation but with enough variation in a row that it didnt feel monotonous. The yarn is Malabrigo until the blue mystery stuff that I grabbed out of my stash (thankfully it’s all soft as heck).

In other news, this cowl is coming along nicely! Its the Oats cowl from Tin Can Knits, a beginner pattern that’s turning out to be PERFECT for my needs: I can use worsted (my favorite weight), it’s in the round, and there’s just enough variation with the stockinette section that my mind feels both like it can “knit and not think about it,” and “knit something interesting”. Also I think this would be a great pattern to show off handspun.
