2/2 Simple things take a lot longer than one would think.
This morning it took me over 30 minutes to finish drafting an email to a business partner. I just needed to refine one small paragraph but it took time and care.
I know a lot of people hate timesheets, but this is why I have always kept personal timesheets for stuff I consider work - including unpaid carer work. I can then look at my day and instead of feeling that I have wasted my day and lost time, I can see that I have actually worked hard, but massively underestimated the time it takes to do things. Hopefully over time I will get better at time estimation!
