How to get formatted headings to show up.
start the line with a ( pound sign, hash tag, number sign, or Octothorp, octothorpe, octathorp, octatherp or # or what ever you call it) followed by a space and then the text of the heading
and the previous line must be a blank unless its the 1st line in the document.
The more consecutive # the lower the status of the heading.
