Been playing around with #NEDM on #FreeBSD and not only does it build but it definitely does show some promise. Be warned it is still a little rough around the edges but it does remind me of #HerbstluftWM with it's frames and it comes with an integrated status bar and wallpaper helper which in my mind could be removed and the choice left to the user. The status bar is aimed at Linux users but you can disable it and use your own like #Waybar .
