Did you know that in Tibetan (and also in Mongolian), the different strokes of a letter are named after different parts of the body?

The long vertical stroke in the letter ཀ་ is called a "leg" (རྐང་པ་), and the slightly shorter vertical stroke in the letter ཁ་ is called an "arm" (ལག་པ་).

Seems that the hostile imperialistic dictatorship that now (since 1950s) neighbours India, has since invaded India multiple times and routinely ridicules Indians in state-approved media is a far lesser threat to Modi's hindu-nationalism than the evil *liberal democracy*... 🙄

The bell is a ritual implement that symbolizes wisdom and femininity. A bell should be made from one of the three metals (ལྕགས་གསུམ་): gold, silver, or copper. The sound of the bell pleases the tathāgatas of the ten directions and wakes sentient beings from the deep sleep of their habitual tendencies (བག་ཆགས་).
