PaulieI’ve been playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is a fantastic new game that was just released. The sound design and Foley work in this game is insanely well done — crisp, clean, immersive. Just pitch-perfect. There is a level of detail and execution with regards to sound that’s very much appreciated.
Among many other great things in this game, you can hit Fascists in the head with various objects, so I’ve been cracking their skulls with various objects to see what they sound like. Here’s a few that I’ve tried so far:

"render #boxed #thunk" is the cutest feature in the feature set, i don't want it to go
but i'm not using it much (if at all). and since most `Render`-ables now also require a `Layout` trait it becomes impossible to express a component as a single thunk
(sure i can do 2 thunks - but it starts looking like 🍝 once again. otoh that might resolve the trait conflict?)
wondering whether I shouldn't just make `layout` a method of `render` and save myself 2 lines of boilerplate

I think we all should use "thunk" a lot. All the "...ought" words annoy me.
Thunk has a pretty large following. (Starting near 1876, says etymonline.) I started using it when I was a kid, after Twain, or Walt Kelly, or someone like that. I always thunk the "...ought" words are there just to make english tests less fun. (Silly bunt.)
