Any #throwers in the Fediverse? I’m looking for a new #yoyo, but it’s been a while, so I have no idea what to look for. I’ve only ever used Yomega or YoYoFactory, and my most recent is a YYF Shutter.

Anyone have suggestions? 1A and preferably not (much) more than $50. Should I pick up YYF’s latest or should I branch out a bit?

I almost never meet #throwers, except for the one time in Tokyo when I visited the rewind yoyo store. But today I met a 5a thrower in an airport and it was a good day.

Also made me want to always carry an emergency yoyo for the occasion because oh boy can I not use a counterweight.

Working on a little yoyo trick combination with a bucket and a gt.

A "bucket" is a trick formation with three strings between the left and right hands, with the yoyo resting in a trapeze on the middle string. A "gt" (green triangle) is an open knot with the yoyo sitting in the loop. You escape the knot by popping the yoyo out the appropriate side. GTs are really popular in modern yoyo tricks.
