This Is My GlasgowA red sandstone tenement on Thornwood Drive in the west of Glasgow. This is quite an unusual design as it mixes columns of bay windows at either end with curved oriel windows in the middle. Of the three doors, the outer two are entrances to the ground floor flats, while the central one leads to the communal stairway which provides access to the flats on the upper floors.

When you start looking, you'll find Glasgow is criss-crossed by ghost walls, like this one which runs through the middle of Cross Park in Thornwood. Ghost walls are ones that are all that remains of old structure that are otherwise long-gone. In this case, it's a boundary wall for the ornamental garden of Crosspark, a late Georgian mansion built in the 1830s, which once stood on this site.

Crathie Court in the Thornwood area of Glasgow. Designed in a Modernist style in 1946 and built in the early 1950s, this was one of the city's first high-rise public housing development. It comprised 88 one-bedroomed flats and was originally built to house single women.
