Folded, 2020. Ink and watercolor on paper, 42x59cm.

Folded like wet laundry on a wire. You might say that humans can’t fold themselves like this, but maybe you’d be folding yourself in many impossible ways if you could.

Hands On Overload, 2022. Ink on paper, 40x50 cm. Artist: Thit Senstius.

Overloading poses a safety risk.
- a bad winter can overload so that collapses become endemic.

Too much current traveling through one circuit can cause an overload.
The wires inside can get too hot and start a fire. Using a special safety power strip can help prevent overloading a circuit.

overload a washing machine
overload with information
overloading with work
overload with too many strange designs and weird color combinations.
overloaded with special effects
an overload of cargo
an overload of details

Handle (verb)
handled; handling ˈhan(d)-liŋ

1a: to try or examine (as by touching, feeling, or moving) with the hand

1b: to manage with the hands
handle a horse

3: to deal with

Artist: Thit Senstius @thitsenstius

Gravisphere
/ˈɡrævəˌsfɪər/
NOUN
the area in which the gravitational force of a celestial body is predominant

Origin
[gravi(ty) + sphere]
Latin adjective gravis, meaning “heavy”.

Sphere Gravitational Force: Newton showed that the gravitational force on a body of mass m from a spherically symmetric body of total mass M whose center is located a distance r away is equivalent to the force on m from a point mass M located a distance r away

Gravitate
/ˈɡravɪteɪt/ verb
1. : to be drawn or attracted especially by natural inclination
2. PHYSICS: move towards attractive force. "the electron does not gravitate towards the nucleus"

Gravity
: a fundamental physical force that is responsible for bringing us back down to earth
: the natural attraction that any two masses have for each other; the force of gravity

First known use in print: Same year as “adaptable” was used in print for the first time.

Sphere
NOUN [C] (AREA)
range or area of activity

Spherolite (from Gr. sphere + -lit)
: spherical formation of thin crystal needles radiating from the center.

Ellipsoid : a sphere that has been stretched or compressed in one or more directions

Washout, 2025. Ink on paper (A2 format)

Outwash • / ˈaʊtˌwɒʃ/
noun
Geology.
• Minerals and sediments locked within the ice of a glacier when carried and deposited by the streams of water derived from melting glaciers.

Occurs naturally through the processes of weathering and erosion.
When broken down and subsequently transported by the action of water and ice or by the force of gravity acting on the particles.

Glaciers move downhill by the force of gravity and the internal deformation of ice.

Some irregular hills form when meltwater deposits sediments through openings in the interior of the ice.

Small amounts of stress can result in a large amount of strain, causing the deformation to become a plastic flow rather than elastic. Then, the glacier will begin to deform under its own weight and flow across the landscape.

The rate of internal flow, can be modeled as follows
Σ = kτ^n
where:
Σ = shear strain (flow) rate
τ = stress
n = a constant between 2–4
k = a temperature-dependent constant

A large piece of compressed ice, or a glacier, appears blue, due to water molecules absorbing other colors more efficiently than blue.

Glaciers furthermore appear blue due to the lack of air bubbles. All air is squeezed out by the increasing pressure.
