Suddenly, I got a bit into the cross-processed film archive. I’ve always quite liked the trashy look and the unusual colours. The blue eyes, for example, really do have a mind of their own. Voilà: a portrait taken with expired film but a razor-sharp lens.

This photo was taken a few years ago with a Chinon CE-4s loaded with expired Kodak Elite Chrome 100 film (expired in 2002). The young woman performed burlesque and didn’t mind showing a bare back.

I used the Chinon series for years — the CM, CE-4, and CE-4s. Wonderful cameras, but they suddenly break down, and there’s no one left who can repair them…

I’m not a vegetarian, so I’m not doing enough to combat animal suffering. But images like that shouldn’t be the exception. In nature, it’s also about eating and being eaten. But agriculture could ensure that animals do have a good life before they are used for consumption. Years ago, I also came across a similar old-fashioned scene where a whole bunch of pigs were roaming around freely and happily, and it was a fantastic sight to behold. Pigs are highly intelligent animals and interact very socially with one another when they have that freedom! Of course, I took a few photos. I’ll have a look for them and share them with the world ;)

It’s that time of year for the poppies… This year, my ‘collection’ seemed to be blooming really late. No matter, they’re here and they make me happy !
I love my wild garden, and so do all the bees, bumblebees, butterflies and other little insects (and, of course, the birds too)

The photo isn’t recent, though, I think it’s from last year. Of course, my little half-frame camera must have a shot of this year’s poppies in it
