MarcusE1WI really like my new (used) ARM laptop #thinkpadx13s with Linux. A big step from my previous #pinebookpro in snappyness.
#opensuse and #ubuntu work really well. Ubuntu even has a no frills standard out of the box installer.

It's surprising how running #Linux on #Snapdragon based machines isn't there yet. So that means those #ThinkPadX13s examples will be out of my reach for a few more years!

I have a Thinkpad X13s and so far the reccomendation seems to be to keep a small Windows partition for firmware updates.
That said, there are a few articles about firmeware update with Linux, but no idea how mature that is.

I recently bought a #thinkpadx13s and it is quite well supported by Linux. (I tried Ubuntu and opensuse)
If I wanted to spend that much money I probably would get a refurbished MacBook Air M1-2 with #asahi Linux.

Got the imx363 rear camera working in my Poco F1 (SDM845) running a near mainline kernel! π Here is a quick demo of Megapixels and Snapshot camera apps running at 1080p resolution. Full resolution of 4032 x 3024 is kind of buggy with only 2016 x 3024 pixels stretched into 4032 x 3024. Needs some work before wider use by community though. An important milestone for SDM845 devices nevertheless! π

pak0st@urusan lets see the upcoming Qualcomm devices. Waiting a few months this time could be a world of difference if things pan out.
Otherwise #ThinkPadX13s , Chromebooks (with various degrees of success), #pinebookpro , #mntreform. Pick your poison there.
While Apple isn't a company to encourage, @AsahiLinux is hands down one of the best projects to follow. Getting a second hand device is an option - just saying.
