First impressions: I love the new built-in instruments, effects and modulators. I'm struggling a bit with the interface. That's a lot of new features for me: scale-awareness, midi generators, etc. They do look interesting, probably need time to get to know them.

I've continued working manically on my plaintext accounting software 'ubal'. I enjoyed thinking deeply about "what's a nice way to make lexers and parsers in uxntal?" And I'm pretty happy with what I've done. The ability to read the code and see the grammar explicitly is huge for me. I've modified the grammar a few times since my last post, and because of the way it's written, it's pretty easy to change.
I think I've cleared out enough of the interesting detours that I'll be doing actual plaintext accounting features next. Some of those features may end up using additional grammars, which I'm now prepared for.
